Gasper Tan is Chief Executive Officer of Samaritans of Singapore (SOS), Singapore’s lead agency for suicide intervention, prevention and postvention. Gasper has worked over three decades leading and growing companies, from start-ups to multinational corporations. His experience and leadership have been focused on strategic management, as well as developing and steering dynamic business services across the Asian Pacific region.

As a strong advocate for strengthening community resilience, Gasper believes in empowering people and deepening collaborations to collectively manage future societal challenges. He serves in various sectoral level committees and taskforces, including the Youth and Family Track for the Interagency Taskforce on Mental Health and Well-Being, led by MOH and MSF with the aim of driving national efforts to enhance the mental well-being of youths, promote family resilience and strengthen family support in view of the pandemic’s psychosocial impact on the population.
