Alex is a speaker at the upcoming Christian Mental Health Conference 2023 and a passionate advocate for youth mental health. He is also a founding member of Caring For Life, an organization that aims to establish a community approach to early identification of suicide ideation and care. CFL implements initiatives, including the development and piloting of a curriculum for suicide prevention, to complement existing suicide prevention provisions and build supportive communities that prioritize mental wellness resilience. Alex has been a vital part of this cause since its inception.

As the Operation and Community Relation Manager in Caring for Life, Alex has made significant contributions to the growth of the organization. CFL’s objective is to facilitate appropriate support for persons with suicidal ideation or mental health challenges, especially within their social circles, by growing the Community Carers network.

Alex also co-founded Mental Connect, a mental health service directory that connects and facilitates resources available in the ‘Mental Health’ and ‘Mental Wellness’ sector. The directory offers an overview of the resources available in the mental health and mental wellness sector and demonstrates the different roles each service plays in a mental health recovery journey. It also emphasizes Christian mental health professional services to address the emerging need to seek mental health help from those who can integrate the latest findings in neuroscience and faith.

As a non-profit organization, Mental Connect is self-funded and does not take commissions from the organizations listed. Alex’s work with Caring for Life and Mental Connect aims to empower users to make informed decisions for themselves or their loved ones. Attendees of the Christian Mental Health Conference 2023 will benefit from Alex’s extensive experience and expertise in mental health support and advocacy.
